Gear volume sensors

  • For oils and other viscous liquids
  • High resolution, excellent accuracy from 0.008 l/min
  • Ductile iron, stainless steel and aluminum versions

Gearwheel volume sensors from SIKA reliably detect volume flows with high or varying viscosity. These high-precision measuring devices operate according to the displacement principle and offer high resolution and measuring accuracy, especially for measuring small volumes. At high viscosities, the measurement accuracy increases due to the principle. At viscosities below 10 mm²/s, the measurement accuracy decreases. Due to their design, they require a certain lubricity of the measuring medium, which makes them particularly suitable for use with oils and other highly viscous media.

VZGG / VZVA gearwheel volume sensors: The volume sensors of the VZGG / VZVA series are available in various housing and sealing materials and are therefore versatile for use with various measuring media.

VZAL gearwheel volume sensors: The VZAL series gearwheel volume sensors have an aluminum housing and are available with standard process connections.

Accessories for gearwheel volume sensors: The SIKA TD8250 local display unit is simply plugged between the device plug and the cable socket of the gearwheel volume sensor of the VZ... series. Programming is done by two push buttons located behind the front panel. They can display either the actual flow or the totalized volume (counter function). The TD8250 is available in three output signal versions:

  • Pulse output (2-channel, depending on the flow meter)
  • Analog output 0(4)...20 mA
  • Two alarm contacts
