Type 291 - 292 ISO machine thermometer with male thread special version with condensation stop -30...50°C
For use in refrigeration applications / Prevents condensation from forming on the thermometer housing / As a side effect, the 50mm long condensation barrier enables thick pipe insulation to be bridged / Lifetime warranty (excluding glass breakage and improper installation) / Completely without auxiliary electrical power
When normal machine thermometers are used in refrigeration applications, the thermometer housing may cool down considerably due to the good thermal conductivity of the immersion tube and aluminum housing. Condensation can form on the housing when humidity is high. This effect can be avoided by using a thermometer with a condensation barrier.
Housing
The housing has a nominal size of 150 mm and is made of V-shaped aluminum, polished smooth on all sides and anodized in brass color. The numbers of the display range are printed in black on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized coating. The housing and immersion tube are connected by a grooved pin and a locking screw, which means that no turning of the housing is required during assembly.
Glass insert (capillary)
The prismatic capillary in rod form is made of solid glass and has a diameter of approx. 8 mm Ø. The background is white-backed, while the graduation of the capillary is burnt black and thus absolutely durable. Main graduation lines, which correspond to the numbers imprinted in the case, are made particularly strong and distinctive.
Thermometric filling
The standard version of the thermometric filling is in the range of -30 to 50 °C and is blue ("Fü").
Immersion tube
The immersion tube is available in brass as standard and in stainless steel on request. The immersion tube type "B" has a diameter of Ø 10 mm with a wall thickness of 1 mm.
Graduation values and error limits
SIKA machine thermometers meet the requirements of DIN 16195 "Requirements and testing of machine glass thermometers". The scale graduation values and error limits are defined depending on the housing size and the display range.
Condensation stop
The condensation stop has a length of 50 mm and prevents moisture from penetrating the immersion tube. As a side effect, this distance between the immersion tube nipple and the thermometer housing allows thick pipe insulation to be bridged.
Sealing sleeve
A sealing sleeve is included as standard to reduce moisture penetration into the immersion tube during outdoor installations and cold applications.
