Selecting a Pyrometer Based on Technical Requirements

Select only the requirements for the measuring device that you are familiar with. If you select "No specification," the feature remains open. If there is no exact match, the product finder automatically displays the most technically similar device variants.

Standard or high-speed measurement.

Single wavelength or two-color.

Desired spectral configuration of the instrument.

Direct optics or offset fiber-optic system.

Compact or universal product family.

Required Temperature Range

The device must cover the entire specified range.

Alternative suggestions: If no exact match is found, up to six devices are sorted by technical similarity. Greater weight is given to speed, measurement method, and spectral range; followed by optics and size.

Noncontact Temperature Measurement

A pyrometer measures the temperature of an object without contact, based on its thermal radiation. For a reliable selection, the temperature range, material or emissivity, measuring distance, spot size, spectral range, and required response time are particularly important.
