Type 271 - 272 Da/Dc Machine thermometer with union nut Industrial version made of aluminum -30...250°C
Measuring accuracy according to DIN 16195 / Not subject to aging, as no moving parts and no mechanical wear / Lifetime warranty / Completely without electrical auxiliary power
The original SIKA thermometer is characterized by a high-quality V-shaped aluminum housing, which is polished smooth on all sides and anodized in gold. The numbers of the display range are imprinted in black color on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized layer and are thus permanently and indissolubly fixed.
The thermometer is available in three nominal sizes and many display ranges from -30...50 °C to 0...250 °C. In addition, there is a choice of immersion tubes made of brass, steel, stainless steel, special brass or copper-nickel alloy and a wide range of connection types and threads. SIKA's standard range contains a total of over 17,000 different variants of machine thermometers.
The housing of the thermometer has a nominal size of 200 mm and is made of aluminum. It is V-shaped, polished smooth on all sides and anodized in brass color. The display area is located on the right scale cheek under the anodized layer, the black numbers are permanently and irremovably fixed. The housing is adjustable by means of a brass lock nut (SW22) and can be read in any viewing direction. In the case of angle thermometers, the angle is 90°, the connection between the immersion tube and the housing is made by a grooved pin and a locking screw. The advantage here is that no turning of the housing is required during mounting.
The glass insert (capillary) consists of a prismatic capillary in rod form made of solid glass with a diameter of approx. 8 mm and a white background for blue liquid filling and yellow background for mercury*. The graduation of the capillary is burned in black color and thus absolutely durable. The main graduation lines, which correspond to the numbers imprinted in the case, are particularly strong and distinctive.
The thermometric filling is in standard version from -30 to 250 °C and consists of blue thermometric liquid ("Fü").
The immersion tube is made of brass as standard and is suitable for temperatures up to 250 °C. Special brass or CuNiFe alloys for seawater are also available on request. For aggressive media, the immersion tube is made of stainless steel. The diameter of the immersion tube type "B" is Ø 10 mm, the wall thickness is 1 mm.
The scale graduation values and error limits of SIKA machine thermometers meet the requirements of DIN 16195 "Requirements and testing of machine glass thermometers". They are defined as a function of the housing size and the display range.
