The Humimeter BP1 demonstrates its performance primarily in the determination of moisture in wood pellets, but also in pellets from many other biomass materials.
The Humimeter BP1 is a specialized measuring device for measuring the moisture content of wood pellets. It is particularly suitable for determining the moisture content of wood pellets, but also for many other biomass pellets.
The device has a hold function that allows measured values to be "frozen" on the display until the next keystroke. The measurement is hectoliter compensated, which increases the measurement accuracy and reproducibility of the Humimeter BP1 Pellet Moisture Meter. For this purpose, a scale and a measuring cup are supplied to enable accurate weighing of the sample quantity and to compensate for different bulk densities.
The entire instrument series has been calibrated and verified using the CEN/TS14961:2005 calibratable kiln method. The water content is displayed in the calibrated measuring range from 3% to 20% (depending on the type) and the sample temperature is measured and included in the moisture calculation. The temperature range is from 0°C to 40°C.
A USB interface for connection to a PC is optionally available. With the "LogMemorizer" software, the values can be read out, edited, archived, exported and further processed. The water content, sample temperature, additional information and special instrument data can also be output at the push of a button via this interface and can be read out by another PC program.
We also offer a portable thermal printer as an option. With this printer, the stored data can be printed out on site without a PC. These printouts can be handed over to the supplier as a receipt.
About the measuring process: After switching on the Humimeter BP1 pellet moisture meter, a self-calibration takes place automatically to ensure precise measured values in the long term. Subsequently, the corresponding characteristic curve is selected on the BP1 for the pellet type to be measured. The measuring chamber of the pellet moisture meter is then filled with the specified quantity of pellets, whereby a scale and a measuring cup enable the exact quantity of pellets to be measured (both are included in the scope of delivery of the Humimeter moisture meter).
The water content can now be read immediately on the large, illuminated display and, if required, stored and processed by means of the integrated data logger.

Application area
The Humimeter BP1 is optimized for quality control of production, intermediate storage or incoming inspection of wood pellets.
It is also suitable for pellets made of other materials (thistle, straw, rapeseed, miscanthus....uvm.).
The integrated data logger allows billing based on dry mass.
