Operating instructions for the calibration devices for tube sensors and blade sensors
These instructions are intended for the safe and efficient use of the calibration devices for tube and blade sensors to ensure accurate measurements and long-term reliability.
Calibration
Prerequisites:
- Calibration device: Article no. 10006
- Humidity standards: Article no. 10005
Before starting the calibration, the device, the calibration device and the calibration solutions must have reached a temperature between 20.0 °C and 26.0 °C. It is recommended to store these components 24 hours before calibration in a room with minimal temperature fluctuations to ensure a stable environment for the process.
Calibration ampoules for calibration
Intended use:
The calibration ampoules are intended exclusively for checking or calibrating humidity measuring devices. They offer different relative humidity values, e.g. 50% or 35%, depending on the calibration ampoule. Higher humidity values of the material lead to a higher relative humidity of the calibration ampoule.
Certified oak ampoules:
These calibration ampoules are used in conjunction with the calibration device (article 10072). Only certified calibration ampoules guarantee the accuracy of the measurements and calibrations.

Calibration procedure
- Temperature check: Make sure that all devices and solutions have reached the recommended temperature (20.0 °C to 26.0 °C).
- Storage: Store all devices and calibration solutions for at least 24 hours in a room with minimal temperature fluctuations.
- Use calibration ampoules: Use the appropriate certified calibration ampoules to perform the calibration.
- Note the results: Record the calibration results and adjust the meter according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure optimum accuracy.
Strict adherence to these steps will ensure the accuracy and reliability of your moisture meters.
Important notes
- Only use certified calibration ampoules to ensure precise measurement results. Non-certified calibration ampoules can lead to inaccurate calibrations and consequently to incorrect measured values.
- Store and use the calibration ampoules according to the manufacturer's instructions in order to maintain their effectiveness and ensure optimum calibration.

Performance features
Mounting the calibration device for pipe sensors
- Place the sealing ring over the thread of the lower part, as shown in Fig. 1.
- Place the textile pad in the lower section
- Hold the ampoule by the neck and gently tap to transfer all the liquid into the lower part of the ampoule.
- Now carefully break off the head of the ampoule at the marked point.
- Pour the solution completely onto the textile pad.
- Carefully place the upper section on the lower section and screw the upper section on clockwise.
- Recommendation: Leave the lower part on the table while tightening the upper part.
- Note: If necessary, only lift the calibration device straight up. Do not tilt or turn it over.
- Loosen the fastening nut counterclockwise until the sensor tube of the measuring device can be inserted without excessive pressure.
- Now carefully push the sensor tube of the measuring device into the upper part as far as it will go
- Secure the calibration device on the sensor tube by tightening the previously loosened fastening nut.
- Make sure that you only lift the device with the calibration device straight up and do not tilt or turn it over, as this could damage the sensor.
- Note: Leave the calibration device mounted on the sensor tube until specifically instructed otherwise.
- Tip: Place a spacer under the device so that the device and the calibration device rest horizontally on the table.
Your advantages
Mounting the calibration device for blade sensors
- Insert the seal (30 mm) (1) into the housing
- Slide the blade sensor into the housing.
- Note: The blue area of the blade sensor must be visible.
- Place the textile pad in the lower section .
- Hold the ampoule by the neck and gently tap to transfer all the liquid into the lower part of the ampoule.
- Now carefully break off the head of the ampoule at the marked point.
- Carefully pour the dampening standard onto the textile pad.
- Place the narrow seal (34 mm) (4) on the lower part, followed by the washer (3) and then the wide seal (34 mm) (2) (Fig. 10).
- Carefully place the housing together with the blade sensor on the lower part .
- Recommendation: Screw the lower section into the upper section while lying on the table.
- Take care: Lift the device with the calibration device straight up and do not tilt or turn it over, as the sensor could otherwise be damaged by the liquid.
- Leave the calibration device mounted on the blade sensor until explicitly instructed otherwise.
- Place a spacer under the device so that the device and the calibration device rest horizontally on the table.
