Measurement of the water content of materials with the automatic system for determining humidity
The measurement of different materials is greatly simplified by Schaller's intelligent software solution. The LabDry system provides an accurate calculation of the water content according to the gravimetric Darr method. This method of moisture determination is currently recognized as a standard (DIN 52183 or DIN EN 13183), making it an important basis in both legal and business terms. The Darr method is also the basis for the calibration standard for measuring wood moisture.
The software solution helps to avoid application errors (e.g. calculation errors, write-off errors, data loss, etc.). This increases data security and the export option of the data to Excel allows further processing of the measurement results without any problems.
Handling and measuring procedure
Fill your material into the supplied barcoded aluminum trays and take the samples into your system using the analytical balance and the barcode scanner. Now you can measure the moisture of the material by carrying out a drying process in the drying cabinet, depending on the product group (standard for laboratory moisture analysis). After the specified drying time, the sample is again registered in your system via the analytical balance and the barcode scanner and the material moisture is automatically calculated and output.
The software allows that the individual measurements can be linked with additional information (supplier, delivery bill number, batch number, etc.). Via an export in Excel format, the scope of application can be extended and the data can be further processed with other software packages.
