The MF-P-HTD online sensor enables continuous measurement of the absolute water content and temperature of paper, board, cardboard and pulp boards in real time. The measured values can be transmitted to the control station via selectable interfaces such as Modbus TCP or analog outputs. The infrared sensor is used to measure temperature, while a high-frequency capacitance measurement is used to determine water content. The sensor can be used on stationary material as well as during the production process on passing material, e.g. in the corrugator (corrugator). The measurement is independent of the material speed. To determine the moisture profile over the entire width of the product, the MF-P-HTD sensor can be mounted on a traverse.
The specially developed PC software "HumiSenseWare" offers extensive functions such as measured value display, moisture calculation, grade calibration or measured data management and is required for the use of the Modbus TCP interface. The measuring system enables a complete documentation of the product quality and the use of the measured values for process control, e.g. the moistening or drying process.
