Type 174 - 292 B Machine thermometer with external thread Industrial version made of aluminum -30...250°C

Measuring accuracy according to DIN 16195 / Not subject to aging, as no moving parts and no mechanical wear / Lifetime warranty / Completely without electrical auxiliary power

The original SIKA thermometer has a high-quality, V-shaped aluminum housing, which is polished smooth on all sides and anodized in gold. The display numbers are imprinted in black on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized layer and are thus permanently and indissolubly fixed.

The thermometer is available as standard in three nominal sizes, each in straight or 90° angle design and with many indication ranges from -30...50 °C to 0...250 °C. The immersion tubes are optionally made of brass, steel, stainless steel, special brass or copper-nickel alloy and there is a wide range of selectable connection types and threads. The SIKA machine thermometer range comprises a total of more than 17,000 different variants.

The housing has a nominal size of 200 mm, is V-shaped and made of aluminum, polished smooth on all sides and anodized in brass color. The numbers of the display range are imprinted in black on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized coating. The thermometer is adjustable by means of a brass lock nut (SW22) and can be read in any viewing direction. In the case of 90° angle thermometers, the connection between the immersion tube and the housing is made by means of a grooved pin and a locking screw. An advantage is that no turning of the housing is required during mounting.

The glass prism rod of the capillary has a diameter of approx. 8 mm and has a white background for blue liquid filling and a yellow background for mercury*. The graduation of the capillary is burned in black and thus absolutely durable. The main graduation lines, which correspond to the numbers imprinted in the case, are particularly strong and distinctive.

In the standard version, the thermometric fluid is blue ("Fü") from -30 to 250 °C.

The immersion tube is made of brass for temperatures up to 250 °C as standard. Special brass or CuNiFe alloys suitable for seawater or stainless steel for aggressive media are also available on request. The diameter of the immersion tube type "B" is Ø 10 mm with a wall thickness of 1 mm.

The scale graduation values and error limits of SIKA machine thermometers meet the requirements of DIN 16195 "Requirements and testing of machine glass thermometers" and are defined as a function of the housing size and the display range.
