Type 175 - 292 BDR Machine thermometer with external thread Special version with rotatable housing 0 ...200°C
Thermometer housing can be rotated axially by 360°. Adjustable for reading in any viewing direction / Not subject to aging, as no moving parts and no mechanical wear / Lifetime warranty (excluding glass breakage and improper installation) / Completely without auxiliary electrical power.
For mechanical and plant engineering as well as for ship components and supply technology in shipbuilding, the original SIKA thermometers type BDR offer long-lasting and precise temperature measurement without wear.
Housing
The nominal sizes of the housing are 110 mm, 150 mm or 200 mm and are made of V-shaped aluminum, polished smooth on all sides and anodized in brass color. The numbers of the display range are imprinted in black on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized coating and are adjustable by means of a brass lock nut (SW22). The housing can be rotated axially by 360° and can thus be adjusted to be readable in any viewing direction without having to rotate it during assembly.
Glass insert (capillary)
The round glass insert (capillary) in rod form is made of solid glass and has a diameter of about 8 mm. With blue liquid filling the background is white, with mercury filling it is yellow. The graduation of the capillary is burnt black and therefore absolutely durable. Main graduation marks, which correspond to the numbers imprinted in the case, are made particularly strong and distinctive.
Thermometric filling
In standard version the thermometric liquid is blue ("Fü") and has a temperature range from -30 to 250 °C. For indication ranges from 0...300 °C, technically only mercury filling* (abbreviation "Hg") is possible and only for nominal sizes 150 mm and 200 mm.
Immersion tube
The immersion tube is made of brass as standard for temperatures up to 300°C and of steel for higher temperatures. Special brass or CuNiFe alloy suitable for seawater or stainless steel for aggressive media are also available on request. The diameter of the immersion tube type "B" and "Da" is 10 mm, with a wall thickness of 1 mm.
Graduation values and error limits
SIKA machine thermometers meet the requirements of DIN 16195 "Requirements and testing of machine glass thermometers". Scale graduation values and error limits are defined depending on the housing size and the display range.
