The original SIKA thermometer has a high-quality V-shaped aluminum housing, which is polished smooth on all sides and anodized in gold. The numbers of the display range are permanently and indelibly imprinted in the anodized layer under the right-hand scale cheek.

Our thermometer is available in three nominal sizes, both straight and 90° angle versions, and offers many indication ranges from -30...50 °C to 0...250 °C. We also offer immersion tubes in a choice of brass, steel, stainless steel, special brass or copper-nickel alloy, and a variety of connection types and threads. Our standard range of machine thermometers comprises a total of more than 17,000 different variants.

Housing

The housing has a nominal size of 200 mm and is made of aluminum. It is V-shaped, polished smooth on all sides and anodized in brass color. The numbers of the display range are printed in black on the right-hand scale cheek under the anodized layer. The housing is adjustable by means of a brass lock nut (SW22) and can be read in any viewing direction. In the case of 90° angle thermometers, the immersion tube and housing are connected by means of a grooved pin and locking screw. An advantage is that no turning of the housing is required during mounting.

Glass insert (capillary)

The capillary consists of prismatic solid glass in rod form with a diameter of approx. 8 mm. With blue liquid filling the background is white background, with mercury filling it is yellow. The graduation of the capillary is absolutely durable, as it is burned in black. Main graduation marks, which correspond to the numbers imprinted in the case, are made particularly strong and distinctive.

Thermometric filling

The standard version has a thermometric liquid in blue color ("Fü") and can cover a temperature range from -30 to 250 °C.

Immersion tube

As standard, the immersion tube is made of brass and is suitable for temperatures up to 250°C. If required, special brass or CuNiFe alloys are also available for use in seawater. Stainless steel immersion tubes are available for use in aggressive media. Type "B" has a diameter of Ø 10 mm and a wall thickness of 1 mm.
