SIKA diesel engine dial thermometers are the ideal solution for measuring the temperature of liquids and gases on large diesel engines, such as in marine propulsion systems or diesel power generators. Depending on the display range, they are suitable for measuring exhaust gas, cooling water, lubricating oil or charge air temperatures. The thermometers have a long service life and require no external energy.

The dial thermometers type 311, 321 and 331 are capillary thermometers consisting of a flared ring case, a capillary and an immersion tube. The housing, the capillary as well as the immersion tube and the connection are made of stainless steel. All devices comply with EN 13190 and meet class 1.

The thermometers are available in nominal sizes 80 and 100 mm. The flanged housings are permanently sealed (IP65) and are filled with silicone oil as standard to protect against vibration.

The instruments have various display options, including wall mount, front/rear mounting rim, or clamp mount. This guarantees good readability. The capillary leads to the actual measuring point and connects the expansion tank and the display unit. The capillary is protected against mechanical damage by a stainless steel spiral guard as standard on these versions.

The common display ranges extend from 0...100°C through 0...120°C, 0...160°C and 0...200°C up to 50...650°C. The diesel engine dial thermometers are equipped with a smooth immersion tube and a sliding compression fitting with G 1/2 or G3/4 external thread. The immersion tube diameter is 12 mm as standard (optionally 13 mm at no extra charge). The immersion tube in sheathed sensor design is optimized for heavy-duty use. On request, SIKA can supply matching solid protection tubes for the thermometers.
