Type SolarTemp 851 Digital Thermometer Solar Powered Marine Version -60...650°C

Power supply directly from the current loop with backup via solar cell → Temperature display even in case of power supply failure / One measuring point for local display and transmitter signal → No measured value deviation & lower costs per measuring point / Robust mechanical design → Reliable and durable operation / Insensitive to electromagnetic interference → Additional EMC shielding / Integrated measuring transducer → Easy integration into process control system / Two separate measuring circuits and continuous self-test → Maximum operational safety

The digital thermometers of the SolarTemp product series work with a discrete-time measuring method and offer a measuring cycle time from 3 seconds. This allows the user to read a current reading as they walk by. The SolarTemp models feature an easy-to-read LCD display and are designed for industrial use and difficult environmental conditions due to their robust mechanical construction.

The instruments meet the requirements for IP65 protection class (front panel) and provide high immunity to electromagnetic interference in accordance with the applicable industry standards. After power-up, the instrument performs an internal self-test that also checks the functionality of the connected probe.

The automatic diagnostic routines in the microprocessor continuously monitor the sensor signal for plausibility and can report sensor breaks via the display unit. The solar cell loads the current loop only in the event of a power failure, thus providing a reliable and independent on-site display.
