Type TF700 Reference temperature probe Accessories for SIKA temperature calibrators 5 ...700 °C
Artificially aged by annealing to reduce long-term drift / Best performance among SIKA temperature sensors / Handmade, with experience from over 120 years of temperature measurement technology
In order to guarantee an unaltered measurement even under constant mechanical stress, a stainless steel immersion tube is used for this sensor. Special care has been taken to ensure that impacts have no effect on the reference sensor. Robust measuring elements in thin-film technology are used to ensure conformity to standards and reliable measurements. Long-term temperature stability is ensured by intensive aging tests, while no significant hysteresis effects were detected under cyclic temperature cycling loads.
The joints where different materials meet have been specially designed to avoid parasitic thermal stresses. As a result, the measurement result is not influenced by the temperature gradient from the measuring point to the handle.
To minimize the self-heating behavior, it is recommended to use measuring currents of ≤1 mA. Extensive tests have shown that this does not falsify the measurement result.
