Dry block function for precise temperature calibration
The dry block function of the SIKA calibrators has been specially developed for the simple and precise calibration of temperatures, both in the laboratory and in the field. This technology enables reliable temperature verification without the need to use liquid calibration media.
- Optimum thermal coupling: The correct adapter sleeve ensures that an optimum thermal connection is achieved between the block and the test specimen. Ideally, the bore in the sleeve should have an internal diameter that is 0.5 mm larger than the external diameter of the test specimen. This ensures an exact calibration.
- Universal application: Almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters can be easily calibrated using the adapter sleeve.
Temperature range without changing the calibration medium
The dry-block calibrators cover a wide temperature range without having to change the calibration medium. This saves time and simplifies the calibration process, as there is no need to take viscosities, flash points or outgassing into account.
