Dry block function for precise and uncomplicated calibration

The dry block function of the SIKA temperature calibrators was developed to enable fast and accurate calibration both in the laboratory and in the field. Thanks to this function, the use of liquid calibration media is no longer necessary, which considerably simplifies the process.

Optimum heat transfer: An ideal thermal coupling between the block and the test specimen is ensured by using the correct adapter sleeve. The bore of the sleeve should be about 0.5 mm larger than the outside diameter of the test specimen. This ensures precise calibration.
Versatile application: Almost all straight temperature sensors, regardless of length and diameter, can be reliably calibrated using this method.

Wide temperature range without medium change

The calibrators cover a wide temperature range without having to change the calibration medium. This means that no special considerations need to be made regarding viscosity, flash points or outgassing, which considerably simplifies and speeds up calibration.
