The dry block function has been specially developed for easy and precise temperature calibration, both in the laboratory and in the field. Optimum thermal coupling between the block and the test specimen is ensured by the correct transition sleeve. Ideally, the bore in the sleeve should have an inner diameter that is 0.5 mm larger than the outer diameter of the test specimen. Almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters can be calibrated using the adapter sleeve. The dry block covers the entire temperature range without changing the calibration medium, so the user does not have to consider viscosities, flash points or outgassing.
