SIKA flow limiters are designed to maintain a constant flow of water or aqueous media and are used in the following applications:
- Cooling water systems
- Water treatment
- Sanitary installations
- Industrial water distribution systems
Due to the differential pressure, the free cross-section for the flow medium in the control unit adjusts accordingly. When the pressure decreases, the gap opening is enlarged, while it is reduced when the pressure increases, in order to keep the volume flow through the SIKA flow limiter constant.
The nominal sizes of the flow restrictors are DN 15 and DN 20. The control value for the flow can be selected between 1 and 30 l/min and ranges from 3 l/min up to 30 l/min in steps of 1 l/min. Stainless steel 1.4571 or stainless steel 1.4305 is used to manufacture the pipe sections.
