SIKA flow monitors monitor the liquid flow of low-viscosity media in pipelines. The SIKA paddle flow monitor VH500 is particularly suitable for marine applications such as cooling water monitoring, lubrication control and leakage monitoring of marine engines and compressors.

In this flow monitor, the flowing medium strikes an impact vane attached to the end of a paddle. The resulting dynamic pressure causes the paddle to deflect and actuate a microswitch.
