The SIKA flow monitors are ideally suited for monitoring the liquid flow of low-viscosity media in pipelines. The SIKA paddle flow monitor VH501 is especially suitable for oil flow monitoring of traction transformers in the electrical industry or in railroad and rail transport.
The flowing medium hits the impact vane, which is attached to the end of a paddle. The resulting dynamic pressure deflects the paddle and actuates a microswitch.
