Type VHS01 Flow switch for direct installation Metal version with device plug DN 50...150 Switching range ON 3.8...46.0 m3/h Switching range OFF 3.7...46.0 m3/h
Standard flow switch / direct installation in pipes DN 50...150 / screw-in spigots for T-pieces and direct pipe installation / alternatively soldering or welding nipples
The SIKA flow switches are used for monitoring volume flows. They are available for various nominal diameters and switching point ranges and can be adapted to a wide range of requirements thanks to the modular design principle. The wide temperature and pressure ranges as well as the diverse material and connection options offer a high degree of flexibility. For this reason, SIKA flow switches are used in many areas, including:
- Heating technology
- Industrial cooling circuits
- Water treatment
- Drinking water applications
Mode of operation:
The flow switch consists of a paddle system with a permanent magnet at the upper end. A reed contact is located above the magnet outside the flow.
A second magnet generates a restoring force for the paddle. When the flow to be monitored hits the paddle system, it is deflected. This changes the position of the magnet relative to the reed contact, which is actuated as a result. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle returns to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again. The restoring force required for this process is generated by the two magnets repelling each other.
The use of magnetic force compared to a conventional leaf spring results in significantly higher long-term stability and greater insensitivity to pressure peaks.
