Universal flow switches for DN 20...200 / Adaptation to nominal size and switching point adjustment by shortening the paddle / Screw-in spigot for T-pieces or direct pipe installation

SIKA flow switches are used to monitor the volume flow. Depending on requirements, they are available in various nominal sizes and switching point ranges. Thanks to the "modular principle", the product variants and options can be adapted to a wide variety of applications. The wide temperature and pressure ranges as well as the choice of materials and various connection options offer a high degree of flexibility. For this reason, SIKA flow switches are used in many areas, such as heating technology, industrial cooling circuits, water treatment and drinking water applications.

Operating principle: The flow switch consists of a paddle system with a permanent magnet at the upper end. A reed contact is located above this magnet outside the flow. A second magnet generates a restoring force for the paddle. When the flow to be monitored hits the paddle system, it is deflected and the magnet changes position to the reed contact, actuating it. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle moves back to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again. The restoring force required for this is generated by the two magnets repelling each other. Compared to conventional leaf springs, the use of the magnetic force ensures significantly better long-term stability and higher insensitivity to pressure peaks.
