Universal flow switch for copper pipe Ø 32...88.9 / Adaptation to nominal size and switch point adjustment by shortening the paddle / Soldering nipple for copper pipe

The SIKA flow switches are used to monitor volume flows. They are available in various nominal widths and switching point ranges and can be adapted to a wide range of requirements thanks to the modular design principle. Due to the wide temperature and pressure ranges as well as the diverse material and connection options, SIKA flow switches offer a high degree of flexibility and are therefore used in many areas, such as heating technology, industrial cooling circuits, water treatment and drinking water applications.

The flow switch operates with a paddle system, at the upper end of which is a permanent magnet. A reed contact is placed outside the flow above this magnet. A second magnet generates a restoring force for the paddle. When the flow to be monitored hits the paddle system, it is deflected and the magnet changes its position relative to the reed contact, which is actuated as a result. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle returns to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again. The restoring force is generated by the two repulsing magnets. Compared to a conventional leaf spring, the use of the magnetic force offers significantly better long-term stability and greater insensitivity to pressure peaks.
