Universal flow switch for copper pipe Ø 32...88.9 / Adaptation to nominal size and switch point adjustment by shortening the paddle / Soldering nipple for copper pipe

The SIKA flow switches are used in many areas for monitoring volume flows. They are available for various nominal diameters and switching point ranges and can be adapted to a wide variety of applications thanks to the "modular principle". The great flexibility in terms of temperature and pressure ranges as well as material selection and connection options makes them particularly versatile.

The SIKA flow switches are used in the following areas:

  • Heating technology
  • Industrial cooling circuits
  • Water treatment
  • Drinking water applications

The operating principle of the flow switches is based on a paddle system with a permanent magnet at the tip. Above this magnet is a reed contact outside the flow. A second magnet generates a restoring force for the paddle. When the flow to be monitored hits the paddle system, it is deflected and the magnet changes position to the reed contact, which is thus actuated. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle moves back to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again. The restoring force is generated by the two repulsing magnets.

Compared to conventional leaf springs, SIKA flow switches offer significantly better long-term stability and greater insensitivity to pressure peaks by utilizing the magnetic force.
