SIKA level monitors are reliably used to monitor liquid levels and provide protection against dry running, overflow and leakage. They are installed laterally by means of a G¾ or G½ thread and the proven float principle as well as a potential-free contact as a signal transmitter ensure high functional reliability.
As the level in the tank rises, the float is lifted and, via the paddle system, the magnet changes its position to the reed contact to actuate it. The repulsion between the permanent magnets with the same polarity supports the buoyancy. As soon as the level drops again, the float also follows and actuates the reed contact again.
The factory-set switching function can be changed by the customer. The reed contact used as a signal transmitter consists of two ferromagnetic contact tongues located in a glass bulb filled with inert gas, which virtually eliminates wear due to contact firing. This design enables a service life of up to 100 million switching cycles.
The process connections are optionally available in G 3/4 or G 1/2. The float can be supplied as a ball float or cylindrical float. The electrical connection is made via a 1.5 m PVC sheathed cable. The process connection is made of stainless steel 1.4571 and the design is available as standard.
