Flow switch for direct mounting / plastic version

The SIKA flow switches are a versatile instrument for monitoring volume flows. They are available in various nominal sizes and switching point ranges and can be adapted to different requirements thanks to the modular design principle. The flow switch relies on a paddle system which has a permanent magnet at the upper end. Outside the flow area, a reed contact is placed above this magnet. A second magnet provides the restoring force of the paddle. As flow hits the paddle system, it is deflected and the magnet moves with respect to the reed contact, which is actuated. When the flow is interrupted, the paddle moves back to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again, for which the two repulsing magnets generate the necessary restoring force.

Thanks to the magnetic force, the SIKA flow switch is much more stable in the long term and less sensitive to pressure peaks than conventional leaf springs.
