SIKA flow switches are ideal for monitoring volume flows and are available in various nominal sizes and switching point ranges depending on requirements. Thanks to the "modular principle", the product variants and options can be adapted for a wide range of applications, while the wide temperature and pressure ranges, choice of materials and diverse connection options offer a high degree of flexibility. For this reason, SIKA flow switches are used in many areas, including heating technology, industrial cooling circuits, water treatment and drinking water applications.

The flow switch consists of a paddle system with a permanent magnet at the upper end, above which a reed contact is located outside the flow channel. A second magnet generates the restoring force of the paddle. When the flow hits the paddle system, it is deflected and changes the position of the permanent magnet to the reed contact, which is then actuated. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle returns to its original position and actuates the reed contact again. The required restoring force is generated by the repelling magnets. Compared to conventional leaf springs, utilizing the magnetic force offers better long-term stability and greater insensitivity to pressure peaks.

It should also be noted that this flow switch is particularly suitable for pool applications.

The product is available with various process connections, including pipe sections with G1/2 external thread, G3/4 external thread and 15 mm and 22 mm internal solder ends.

The switching voltage can be either 230 VAC or 48 VDC, depending on requirements and application. Alternatively, versions with a switching voltage of 24 VAC or 42 VDC are also available.
