SIKA turbine flow sensors type VT25 are used for flow measurement and dosing of water and water mixtures. They find application in many areas such as:
- Monitoring of cooling circuits in mechanical and plant engineering
- Water treatment
- Cleaning processes
- Dosage
The guide vanes in the turbine flow sensor divide the inflowing liquid into partial jets which strike the impeller uniformly from different directions and cause it to rotate. The rotational speed of the impeller is converted into a flow-proportional frequency signal (square-wave signal). The impeller is fitted with magnets and a Hall effect sensor detects the rotational movement.
Thanks to the geometry of the guide vanes and impeller, very low start-up values can be achieved.
