Type VTH20 Cartridge turbine flow sensors Cartridge for industrial applications 1. ..42 l/min DN 20
Low series dispersion, fixed pulse rate, low start-up / High measuring accuracy, compact dimensions / Tested in numerous large series applications / 1...42 l/min
Description:
The VTH20 series of plug-in flow sensors has been specially designed for integration into fittings. Their compact design makes them particularly easy to integrate into existing systems and saves space. Typical areas of application for these sensors include:
Detection of drinking water withdrawals
Applications in water treatment
Leakage monitoring systems
The sensor consists of two main components: a turbine insert and a Hall effect sensor. This design enables a very compact construction and facilitates integration into various applications. A precise sapphire bearing ensures a long service life for the measuring system. Thanks to the low start-up speed, even small flow rates of around one liter per minute can be reliably detected.
Features at a glance
Constant pulse rate with low serial dispersion
Precise and reliable flow measurement
Very low wear and tear and long service life thanks to high-quality bearing technology
Compact design for easy integration
Successfully used in many series applications
The fluid flowing through the sensor is first divided into several partial flows by guide vanes. These flow evenly onto the impeller from different directions and set it in rotation. The rotational movement of the impeller is then converted into an electrical output signal.
Since the impeller is equipped with magnets, a Hall effect sensor detects the rotation and generates a frequency-proportional square wave signal. The uniform flow largely balances the forces on the bearings, greatly reducing wear. In addition, particularly resistant materials such as sapphire and carbide ensure an exceptionally long service life for the sensor.
