Type VTH25 Cartridge turbine flow sensors Cartridge for industrial applications 4. ..160 l/min DN 25
Low series dispersion, fixed pulse rate, low start-up / High measuring accuracy, compact dimensions / Tested in numerous large-scale production applications
Description
The VTH25 series plug-in flow sensors have been specially developed for integration into fittings. Thanks to their compact design, they can be easily installed in existing systems with minimal space requirements. Typical areas of application for these sensors include:
Detection of drinking water withdrawals
Applications in water treatment
Leakage monitoring systems
The sensor consists of two main components: a turbine module and a Hall effect sensor. This design enables a very compact construction and facilitates integration into different fittings. A high-quality sapphire bearing ensures high reliability and a long service life for the measuring system. Thanks to the low start-up speed, even low flow rates of around one liter per minute can be reliably detected.
Key features
Constant pulse rate with minimal serial variations
High accuracy in flow measurement
Very low wear and tear and long service life thanks to robust bearing technology
Space-saving and compact design
Successfully used in numerous series applications
The fluid flowing through the sensor is first divided into several partial flows by a guide vane. These flow evenly onto the impeller from different directions and set it in rotation. The rotational movement of the impeller is then converted into an electrical output signal.
Since the impeller is equipped with magnets, a Hall effect sensor detects the movement and generates a frequency-proportional square wave signal. The uniform flow largely balances the forces on the bearings, significantly reducing wear. In addition, particularly resistant materials such as sapphire and carbide ensure an exceptionally long service life for the sensor.
