The VTR consists of the measuring turbine and an external sensor. The measuring fluid flows into the measuring turbine and sets the rotor in motion. The speed is directly proportional to the flow rate. The moving rotor blades are detected by the sensor and converted into a pulse signal proportional to the flow rate.
