Type VTY10 K Turbine flow sensors with threaded connection Plastic version for HVAC applications 1 ...30 l/min DN 10
Drinking water approval / Low wear and extremely long service life due to high-quality bearings / Virtually no series dispersion due to fixed pulse rate / Threaded connection or QuickFasten, proven in numerous large series applications / High measuring accuracy, largely independent of installation position due to integrated flow rectifier
Turbine flow sensors of the VTY series have been specially developed for use in drinking water series applications and are used, among other things, for measuring drinking water tap quantities.
The incoming liquid is divided by the perforated disc into partial jets which uniformly strike the rotor and cause it to rotate. The rotor speed is converted into a flow-proportional frequency signal (square-wave signal) by the magnet-equipped rotor and the Hall effect sensor.
Due to the uniform inflow of the bearing, the forces largely cancel each other out and wear is reduced to a minimum. The use of extremely hard bearing materials such as sapphire and carbide additionally guarantees an exceptionally long service life.
The VTY sensors are characterized by the following features:
- Low wear and extremely long service life due to high-quality bearings
- Practically no series dispersion due to fixed pulse rate
- Insensitive to pressure shocks
- Proven in numerous high volume applications
- High measuring accuracy, largely independent of the installation position due to integrated flow straighteners
The product is available with a nominal diameter of DN 10 and offers various options for electrical connection.
It is possible to use 80 mm single wires with Molex Mini-Fit® Jr. connector or to use 1 m PVC cable.
