Type VTY20 VA Turbine flow sensors with threaded connection Stainless steel version for industrial applications 1 ...60 l/min DN 20
Drinking water approval / Low wear and extremely long service life due to high-quality bearings / Virtually no series dispersion due to fixed pulse rate / Wide measuring span (up to 1:60), insensitive to pressure surges, proven in numerous large-scale production applications / High measuring accuracy, largely independent of installation position due to integrated flow rectifier
The VTY series of turbine flow sensors has been specifically designed for potable water series applications.
The sensors of the VTY series are used, among other things, for measuring drinking water tap quantities.
The liquid flowing into the turbine flow sensor is split by the perforated disc into partial jets, which uniformly strike the rotor and cause it to rotate. A Hall-effect sensor detects the rotary motion of the magnet-equipped rotor and converts it into an electrical pulse signal (frequency).
The available signal is flow proportional and has the form of a square wave signal.
Due to the uniform inflow of the bearing, the forces largely cancel each other out, which minimizes wear. The extremely hard bearing materials, sapphire and carbide, guarantee an exceptional service life.
The advantages of these sensors include:
- Low wear and extremely long service life due to high-quality bearings
- Practically no series dispersion due to fixed pulse rate
- Wide measuring span (up to 1:60)
- Insensitivity to pressure shocks
- Tested in numerous large-scale production applications
- High measuring accuracy, largely independent of the installation position due to integrated flow straighteners
The product is available with a nominal diameter of DN 20 and offers various options for electrical connection.
It is possible to use 80 mm single wires with Molex Mini-Fit® Jr. connector or a 0.5 m or 2 m PVC cable.
