The SIKA gearwheel volume sensors are optimally suited for the detection of volume flows with high and varying viscosity in various application areas, including:
- Consumption measurement
- Filling control
- Dosing of oils and chemicals
- Paint and varnish measurement
The measuring mechanism consists of a precisely fitted pair of gears inside the housing. When the medium flows in, the gear pair is set in rotation. The rotational movement is detected by non-contact sensors. Each individual tooth generates a pulse, resulting in a high resolution. Even small volumes can thus be precisely measured or metered.
The maximum pressure drop should not exceed 16 bar, as this limits the measuring range with highly viscous media (see pressure drop diagrams).
This product is available in various sizes including 0.04, 0.2, 2 and 5.
There is a choice of process connections, including direct connection G1/4, direct connection G3/8, direct connection G3/4 and direct connection G 1.
There is also a choice of versions, including an integrated preamplifier version and a version without preamplifier.
The seals are made of FKM material.
