The Humimeter BL2 is an extremely precise moisture meter with a universal range of applications. It is ideal for measuring the moisture content of wood chips, but also of firewood, firewood and logs. This enables fair billing for producers, dealers and end users, as the price is based on biomass rather than water.

The measured values can be saved on the Humimeter BL2 and, if required, output via the integrated printer or transferred to a PC. With the integrated online function, stored data can also be transferred to other programs.

Since the water content within a delivery of wood chips, firewood and fireplace wood can vary greatly, the Humimeter BL2 is equipped with an automatic average calculation. With only 10 measurements, the BL2 can instantly display the average moisture value.

Roundwood and logs

The Humimeter BL2 ram probe is used to measure the moisture content of logs and billets and to determine the moisture content of firewood and firewood. The BL2 penetration probe is used to measure the moisture content of wood chips, sawdust and pellets. Both sensors can be easily connected to the device and used after selecting the correct characteristic curve. During the measuring process, care must be taken to ensure that the probe is inserted at a point where there is no bark, branches, resin cells or cracks. The BL2 humimeter is therefore an indispensable tool for quality control and the efficient use of biomass in energy production and other applications.

Application area

The Humimeter BL2 is a universally applicable moisture measuring instrument.
Depending on the choice of measuring probe, the moisture in different materials can be optimally measured. For wood chips by means of the wood chips probe, by means of the ram probe round and log wood, by means of special probe sawdust, pellets, shredded olive stones, hay and straw bales.

A proven application of the Humimeter BL2 with the ram probe is the measurement of the wood moisture content of firewood or fireplace logs.
