Microbath function: Precise calibration for complex sensor shapes
The microbath function of the TP M255S offers advantages when calibrating temperature sensors with unusual shapes and dimensions. The test specimen is immersed directly in the calibration liquid without insulating air gaps to ensure direct temperature transfer.
- Calibration liquid: The choice of liquid, e.g. silicone oil, depends on the required calibration temperature.
- Magnetic stirrer: The infinitely variable control of the magnetic stirrer ensures uniform turbulence of the calibration liquid and a large, stable measuring zone.
- Sensor basket: The pull-out sensor basket protects the bottom of the tank and ensures undisturbed stirring.
Dry block function: Efficient and flexible calibration
The dry block function was developed to enable simple and precise calibration of temperature sensors in the laboratory and on site. By using the correct transition sleeve, optimum thermal coupling between the block and the test specimen is achieved.
- Thermal coupling: The sleeve should have an inner diameter that is approximately 0.5 mm larger than the outer diameter of the test specimen to ensure exact calibration.
- Universal application: With the matching adapter sleeve, almost all straight temperature sensors of differentlengths and diameters can be calibrated. The dry block covers the entire temperature range without having to change the calibration medium.
