Direct installation in pipelines DN 50...150 / Optional: Push-in mounting / Sealing by integrated O-ring
The SIKA flow switches are used for monitoring volume flows in various fields of application. They are available for different nominal diameters and switching point ranges depending on the requirements and, thanks to the "modular principle", offer a large variety of product variants and options for a wide range of applications. Due to their flexibility, which includes wide temperature and pressure ranges, material selection and various connection options, SIKA flow switches are used in many areas, including:
- Heating technology
- Industrial cooling circuits
- Water treatment
- Drinking water applications
This flow switch is particularly suitable for pool applications. The flow switch consists of a paddle system with a permanent magnet at the upper end. A reed contact is located above this magnet outside the flow area.
A second magnet generates a restoring force for the paddle. When the flow to be monitored hits the paddle system, it is deflected and the magnet changes position to the reed contact, actuating it. As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle moves back to its initial position and actuates the reed contact again. The restoring force required for this is generated by the two magnets repelling each other.
Compared to conventional leaf springs, the flow switch utilizes magnetic force, resulting in significantly better long-term stability and much greater insensitivity to pressure spikes.
