The hay probe (rod electrode) is simply inserted into the hay or straw bale and the meter is switched on. Then, after a few seconds, the water content and temperature can be read from the hay moisture meter display.
The device also has a "hold" function, which allows the measured values to be shown on the display until the next time the button is pressed. The measuring range extends from 8 to 40 % water content and the resolution is 0.5 %.
In addition, the calibration accuracy to reference material is +/- 1.0 % and the device has automatic temperature compensation in the temperature measuring range from -20 to +85 °C. The results are displayed within seconds and the measured values can be saved if required.
With dimensions of 740 x 65 x 40 mm and a weight of 450 g (including batteries), the FL1 humimeter is easy to transport and can be used anywhere. It is powered by 4 AA 1.5 V alkaline batteries and supports various menu languages, including German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Polish, Russian and International.
